Mission: To enhance business building skills of high school juniors through a working introduction to the opportunities, benefits and challenges of establishing a business or providing a service in the free enterprise system.

The Enterprise Leadership Conference #1, sponsored by the San Jose, Los Gatos, and Los Gatos Morning Rotary Clubs, is designed to help develop leadership and presentation skills of 96 industrious high school juniors from throughout Silicon Valley. It is an innovative, informative and interactive experience that provides a strong foundation for college business courses. In this comprehensive introduction to developing a business plan, students are challenged to be visionary, creative, analytical, and competitive as they devise viable business opportunities in a team environment.  This program has been in existence for over 30 years.

The Enterprise Leadership Conference-Silicon Valley West is a collaborative effort between the Rotary Clubs of Campbell, Dublin, Los Altos, Mountain View, Santa Clara, San Lorenzo Valley, Saratoga, Sunnyvale and Sunnyvale Sunrise.  It follows a similar structure and curriculum as Enterprise Leadership Conference #1 reaching out to 60 high school juniors.  This program has been in existence for 14 years.

Each spring the Oakland Rotary sponsors Enterprise Institute, a three-day camp in Aptos for high school sophomores and juniors from Oakland schools. Past participants serve as peer mentors at the camp. Participating students build leadership skills and learn about the opportunities, benefits and challenges of establishing and operating a business.  This program has been in existence for over 30 years.
