Join District 5170 on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 for an International Project Faire and the District Cabinet meeting.  District Grant Scholar Katia Gomez will be the featured speaker at the Cabinet meeting, to be held at the India Community Center, 525 Los Coches St., Milpitas.
 
 
 
Clubs and non-profit groups looking to spread the word on their good work in the world are encouraged to sign up for a table for the International Project Faire to be held from 4:00pm-6:00pm.  Attending the Project Fair is free.
 
Stay afterward for the September Cabinet meeting featuring Rotary Alumni Scholar Katia Gomez.  Katia, Executive Director of E2E (Educate to Envision) was named one of “10 Heroes for International Day of the Girl” in 2012 by TakePart.com, one of the Top 12 “Amazing Young Entrepreneurs Doing Good” by Forbes, and in 2013, named by Newsweek magazine as the 'Top 25 Women Under 25 in the World to Watch’. Katia has gained international acclaim for her humanitarian work in bringing education to villages in Honduras. The recipient of the Rotary District 5170 Grant Scholarship in 2012, Katia continue her advanced studies in global health initiatives, and today, E2E brings the highest level of education to children living in poverty.  Join us on September 2 at the Rotary District 5170 Cabinet meeting and hear Katia Gomez and learn how your Rotary investment in The Rotary Foundation pays it forward.
 
The Cabinet meeting begins at 6:30pm.  Dinner is available at $37 per person.  For those not eating there is a $5 event fee.
